I found the results to be very disappointing. The instructions say that you are to fallow a three step procedure for a total of 10 times. After the 6th, I was getting ready to quit. I managed to go through the 10th and final application feeling drained. It took me 1 hour and 13 minutes. The instructions let you know that 10 applications is recommended and that 20 is the maximum. I can't imagine someone following through to the 20th application. It's just inconvenient to use.
The end result of my 10th application was very disappointing. I could not tell any difference. I felt frustrated. I fell victim to the advertising in the box. I will try a different product.

My package came damaged, with 3/4 of the accelerator liquid gone. So I couldn't use it exactly as directed, I couldn't do the full hour and I couldn't rinse after every application, I also had to use what little liquid I had sparingly. I rinsed, applied gel, light, applied more gel and then rinsed, for 30 minutes. My teeth are whiter and they don't hurt at all. My teeth are usually very sensitive, after using the Rembrandt trays for a few days about 5 years ago I was in a lot of pain for weeks. I think that if I had been able to use this the way I was supposed to I would have a lot better results, but I definitely notice a difference. I've ordered the refill kit and I'm going to give it another shot.

I followed the instructions and repeated the procedure 9 times, and my teeth did whiten a bit, but a month later, they're yellowing up again. If you have the patience to repeat it often and don't mind an hour of drooling over the bathroom sink in a boring process, it's not bad. I'll probably use it again - have enough left except for the mouth rinse, which I suppose could be substituted by a regular mouth wash. It's affordable compared to others I've seen and heard about and didn't irritate my lips or gums -- a big plus.

I didn't see how this product could work, as it sounded like it doesn't contain peroxide--otherwise, it would cause tooth sensitivity, right? I had the custom-made tooth trays I got from a dentist several years ago, and Rx-strength peroxide gel: while my teeth did get whiter that way, my teeth and gums hurt, and I had to have those things on my teeth two hours a day (and no eating or drinking during that time). Plus it too so many days to see results.
The Luster One Hour White does take an hour (actually, a little longer than that for me, but maybe I'm slow), but then you're done, and my teeth really DID get several shades lighter! It was the equivalent of using those expensive trays for a couple of weeks--maybe even better. After about the first eight two-minute sessions, I wasn't sure it was working, but after the tenth session, BAM! I saw a definite difference, and my teeth just kept getting whiter.
I don't have that much enamel on my teeth and would probably need veneers (if I could afford them) to have model-white teeth, but Luster got my teeth as white as can be. It's amazing what a difference whiter teeth make to my appearance: I look and feel cleaner, somehow. I will definitely recommend this product to my friends.
I highly recommend using a little petroleum jelly on the inside of your lips, as mine got irritated. (The irritation went away after an hour or so.) I also found it easier to wrap my lips around the light instead of trying to bare my teeth the whole time.
This product was SO worth the time and money!

Coffee, cigarettes, and cola. I consume these on a daily basis. When I go for my yearly teeth cleaning the dentist always remarks what a naturally beautiful shade of white my teeth are. No, she's not being sarcastic. They are naturally white even with all the crap I put in my mouth. I just wanted something to use the rest of the year so I could have those "wow" teeth.
After reading different reviews, both the good and bad, I chose this product.
Problem one: There was a color chart included. I matched it to my teeth. Very odd, my teeth were the most white shade on the chart BEFORE use. Uuuuugh, imagine those who have number 10 or 15... eeek!
Problem two: Two minutes at a time you must shine the included light on your teeth. This is not a very comfortable or natural facial position. During the first 45 seconds I realized I should have gone with the trays that you can close your mouth around. Every 5 seconds until it beeped I had my toddler running in and out of the bathroom "Mommy! You're so silly! Stop looking like that. DAAAAAADDY Mommy is being silly make her stop".
BEEEP BEEP
Problem three: After two minutes I inspected my teeth.... there were WHITE SPOTS all over my front teeth.
Problem four: The package says you can do this again and again over an one hour period. Fearing the white spots would be even more noticeable I chose to NOT do this. Good thing... because....
MY TEETH HURT WITH EVERY SIP OF WATER ever since. It's been 3 days since I tried the product.
I have been praying ever since for this pain to go away but it hasn't. Luckily this product can go away, in the trash.
